We’ve been advised to send a memo to DVC administration and finance informing him of our interest in getting disposal waste. Michael will meet the procurement lead next week as well as the DVC. Then I’ll have a follow up discussion with him afterwards on how we’ll get waste. He has assured that there’s a lot we can get and we’ll likely get the go ahead to proceed with the Industrial zone sooner

Met with Ms. Ruth Anyura and her boss, Mr. Luke Najulo (Head of Supply Chain). It went really well! They’re super positive about the project. The main points: Lots of stuff to clear: They have a ton of materials ready for disposal, including Lot 1 assets and lot 2 e-waste, and solid waste (plastics, boxes,food waste etc.) A couple of questions: They just wanted to confirm how the Lot 1 asset valuation will work for the auction and who will be handling the actual weighing of the waste.

They’re waiting for the official circular to drop so they can review the details. Once it’s out, I’ll jump back in touch with Ms.Ruth to get the handover rolling.

Mama Ngina VC introduced me to their Procurement personnel who said they currently have an ongoing contract on waste disposal and the contract is running till next year.
