Met with Welsy from Supply at KIPI. They are yet to receive the official circular from the National Treasury. He advised that the letter would need to go through the MD and requested that we engage further once the circular is received. He also noted that they are currently receiving many similar visits.

A field visit was undertaken to the County Government of Nyeri with my liaison contact. The scheduled engagement with H.E. the Governor did not materialize due to an ongoing executive review of the FY 2026/2027 budget estimates. The Governor has indicated his willingness to reschedule the meeting at his convenience, and follow-up is ongoing.

I wish to report a logistical challenge encountered. I traveled to Nyeri yesterday, 22nd September 2026, and the scheduled engagement did not materialize due to the FY 2026/2027 budget review. Feedback from H.E. the Governor's office was received late in the evening, indicating a possible engagement this morning, 23rd September 2026. Since I was already in Nyeri and to avoid missing the opportunity and incurring double transport costs from Ruai , I was compelled to make an overnight stay to facilitate the early morning follow-up today, 23rd September. I therefore request facilitation for the overnight accommodation incurred.Thank you

I sent a follow-up message in regards to our previous meeting and wanted to find out if she had received the official circular. During our meeting she had indicated that kws would have e-waste and other waste materials available under lot 2,which we agreed would be the immediate focus.i wanted to check whether these materials are still available for disposal given that the circular took a little longer than anticipated to be issued. I also indicated that we can also revisit our earlier discussion regarding the lot 1 actionable assets and explore the next steps onepce they review the circular.

I made a follow-up up with Ms . Ruth wanting to confirm whether they had received the circular and had a chance to review it.I also gave clarification on some of the questions that came up during our physical meeting. I had indicated that I was not sure whether our company I'd licensed to undertake the auction process,I confirmed to her that we are licensed auctioneers and there will be no need for external sourcing of an auctioneer. Lastly since the circular took a little longer than anticipated to be issued I wanted to check whether the e-waste and other waste materials we discussed during our meeting are still available for disposal.

They stated we don't have to drop the company's profile at their office but we can send through email then call back to confirm how we will move forward. A meeting was held with Mr. Kuria, Head of Procurement, to introduce the Circular Economy project and understand the department's upcoming disposal plans and processes. During the meeting, we discussed the tender award document, including the companies that had been awarded the tender. Clarification was also sought on whether the disposal rates were standard or varied depending on the items. Mr. Kuria requested a copy of the framework agreement for further review. He further indicated that the department's disposal activities would mainly involve items under Lot 1, with some items expected to become available for disposal around February, subject to completion of the institution's internal disposal procedures.
